London, UK - represented by the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for Commercial Broadcasting (BLM) pronounced broadcasting ban on shipments of Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) is unlawful. In its judgment of 9 October 2014, the Administrative Court of Munich the applicant Zuffa, the company is behind the world's largest organization for Mixed Martial Arts UFC®, right and lifts the ban on the disposal of the BLM.

According to the court it must be assumed that it is fundamentally NOT TRADE to broadcast enabled content in the UFC formats. In any case, the prohibition is disproportionate. The BLM has no power to prohibit an unwanted only from their perspective program. Finally, the BLM had not included the legally protected interests of Zuffa in their considerations.

Viewers in Germany could follow the UFC® events at the television station Sport1 / DSF until the BLM lifted their one year earlier authorization granted in March of 2010. The UFC® / Zuffa handed then appealed against that order.

In May 2014, the UFC® returned after an absence of five years with an event at the O2 World Berlin to Germany. More than 8,000 tickets were sold and more than 500,000 viewers in Germany watched the event via various platforms.
