Germany's first UFC heavyweight will rise into the Octagon on home soil on 3 September

Danho - a native Syrian, who came as a refugee to Germany in childhood - was signed in October a UFC contract after he could enter among other early victories against the experienced heavyweights Marcus Vanttinen and Stefan Traunmüller. His first UFC fight was on February 27 in London, where Danho met the Poland Daniel Omielanczuk. The duel was relatively uneventful. However Danho  was hit in the fight over two illegal actions. The judges had therefore make a technical point decision, and the majority went to Daniel Omielanczuk. Thus Danho had not presented his UFC debut with security. On September 3, the 32-year-old gets the opportunity to show the fans his true ability. His opponent in Hamburg is Denmark's Christian Colombo, who in the past was able to celebrate great successes against German heavyweights. In 2013, Colombo met Björn Schmiedeberg, the former number two in the German heavyweight, and defeated him easily on points. A few months later traveled the former number one of the German top ten, Andreas Kraniotakes, to Denmark, to confront Colombo. He was clearly dominated by the fighters from Copenhagen and defeated on points. Tickets for UFC Fight Night in the Barclaycard Arena are available at The following fights are previously determined:
